Head of Collections-Archives of African American Music & Culture
The Head of Collections reports to the AAAMC Director and works collaboratively with the Digital Collections Archivist/Project Manager to acquire and process new collections, promote, and expand awareness of existing collections, nurture relationships with current and potential donors, engage communities within and beyond the university, and maintain currency with emerging trends and best practices in the field. An ALA-accredited Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science or Archival Studies is required, as is experience with archival accessioning, appraisal, arrangement, description, and finding aid creation.
