Summary: The Holisso: The Center for Study of Chickasaw History and Culture is a 20,000-square-foot specialty library, focused on the study of the Chickasaw Nation and other tribes with ancestral homelands in the Southeast of what is now the United States. This facility provides access to the archives of the Chickasaw Nation Collection (CNC). It consists of over 2,500 cubic feet of government papers, legislative minutes, court cases, land documents, maps, newspapers, rare books, photographic material, audio-visual records and digital resources. Additionally, the CNC holds material cultural objects, archaeological collections and visual art both by and about the Chickasaw people.
