 Iron Mountain Library Services is a new business within Iron Mountain that leverages the organization&#8217;s extensive capabilities and footprint to deliver new collection options for libraries and archives. Our team provides expert consulting to libraries helping with planning and execution of relocation projects, collections storage strategies, and digitization programs. The SME will represent the capabilities of Iron Mountain to libraries and the specific needs of libraries to our extensive Iron Mountain network. We are looking for candidates that have a broad background in libraries, archives or special collections, and are comfortable in a fast-paced and continually evolving business environment. This is an exciting, non-standard opportunity where the right person can grow their skills and their professional network. 
 The Library Services Subject Matter Expert (SME) individual contributor role is a unique role to Iron Mountain with professional librarians and archivists in a sales solution architect function to help engage with customers and develop custom solutions. 
 The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of library collection management strategy and digital access approaches. In addition, the individual hired for this position will directly influence and develop the digitization service capabilities in our newly built, FADGI compliant, archival digitization lab. The Bay area is the focus geography for providing new opportunities and solutions for at-scale digital conversion to Iron Mountain Library Services customers requiring preservation level digitization 
 This a dynamic hands-on role encompassing both academic and corporate business functions, driving growth within a new business through sales and solution delivery. It requires looking at new ways to solve established challenges in the library and archives community. This role entails meeting and talking with many different constituencies on a daily basis and is ideally suited to those that enjoy socializing and engaging deeply for long hours. This is an ideal position for those who are comfortable with flexible and broad cross-functional thinking, innovation, and creativity. Up to 70% travel required.

 Responsible for working closely with Iron Mountain sales professionals to drive Library Services sales to successful completion

 Develop proposals for delivery to customers 
 
 
 Track sales success and pipeline for opportunities in the SME assigned region

 Develop methodologies, workflows, and best practices for preservation level digitization practices

 &#xa0; REQUIREMENTS: 
 
 
 Master&#8217;s Degree in Library Science 
 
 
 7+ years experience working in a library, archives or special collections. Must have experience in academic research institutions. Corporate, government, public or private library and archives experience is highly beneficial.

 Position 
 The Director of University Archives and Special Collections provides innovative and strategic leadership to maximize the impact of the Library&#8217;s special collections and archives. This Director will have an opportunity to use creativity and innovation in building a library for the 21st century. 
 The Directorship is classified as a Librarian at CSUF. The successful applicant accordingly will have faculty status and will be expected to meet promotion and tenure requirements, including scholarly, service and professional activities.

 Responsibilities 
 
 Provide dedicated, innovative, and strategic leadership of the UA&#38;SC in accordance with the University&#8217;s mission. 
 As a public-facing department, serve our diverse patrons and communities with equity, dedication and a clear commitment to inclusion and anti-racism. 
 Oversee and guide UA&#38;SC staff, including the University Archivist and interns. 
 Implement collection development and management policy pertaining to the Library&#8217;s UA&#38;SC.

 Lead outreach and advocacy to generate donations and support scholarly research across the academic and wider communities.

 Collaboratively plan and design physical and online exhibitions showcasing the holdings of the UA&#38;SC. 
 Oversee the Library&#8217;s digitization studio, including assessment of collections for priority as part of the planned expansion of our dedicated&#xa0;program. 
 Deliver presentations demonstrating the value of UA&#38;SC to the Patrons of the Library, potential donors, and other stakeholders.

 The position will be at the faculty rank of Senior Assistant Librarian or Associate Librarian. Salary range will be from $76,000-$82,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and is subject to budgetary authorization and any California State University System faculty contract increases.  Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Archives and Special Collections, the Research and Technical Services Managing Archivist will provide leadership in setting priorities and determine appropriate approaches for processing collections and preparing them for discovery and use. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing planning, determining levels of processing, establishing timelines, evaluating outcomes, and providing quality control for archival description. The Managing Archivist has responsibility for encoding finding aids using Encoded Archival Description (EAD) for contribution to the Online Archive of California and contributing descriptive metadata to Calisphere. Qualifications Required: &#8226; Applicant must have a master&#8217;s degree from an ALA-accredited institution, or a master&#8217;s degree in archival administration, or a related field with relevant experience. &#8226; Minimum of five or more years of progressively responsible experience in a special collections and archives setting with focus on reference, outreach, and processing. &#8226; Understanding of and commitment to the standards, ethics, security guidelines, and best practices in use by special collections professionals and related professional groups including ACRL&#8217;s Rare Books and Manuscripts Section and the Society of American Archivists. &#8226; Experience working with ArchivesSpace and other collection management systems. &#8226; Successful experience applying efficient processing techniques in accessioning, appraising, arranging, describing, and preserving archival collections and preparing finding aids of varying size and complexity. &#8226; Understanding of and commitment to professional standards, vocabularies, and best practices for archival processing and description, including Describing Archives: Content Standard (DACS), EAD, EAC-CPF, LCSH, AAT, RDA, and MARC. &#8226; Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, with strong project management skills, and the ability to use considerable judgment and take initiative. &#8226; Effective at meeting deadlines, adjusting priorities, and working on multiple projects simultaneously. &#8226; Experience with, or ability to learn skills for the supervision and training of archival assistants/interns and staff. &#8226; Excellent written communication skills to compose archival materials descriptions. Demonstrated ability to develop written project documentation, process procedures, reports, etc. &#8226; Demonstrated ability to maintain and safeguard confidentiality of documents and information collected and reviewed. &#8226; Possess a record of professional achievement in research, scholarship, and service, with an appropriate publication and presentation history commensurate with the UCSF requirements for appointment at the academic rank of Assistant or Associate Librarian. 
 Preferred: 
 &#8226; Experience with or ability to learn processing of digital collections, data migration, digital curation, and mapping of metadata schema. &#8226; Experience in curating and mounting exhibits. &#8226; Strong foundation in intellectual property issues related to libraries, archives, and special collections. &#8226; Experience managing digitization projects. &#8226; Ability to analyze, learn, and implement evolving technologies. &#8226; Proven ability to cultivate an environment of diversity and inclusion. &#8226; Experience with assessment tools and methods. &#8226; Certified Archivist. &#8226; Experience with medical and/or scientific archives.

Salary Range for the Represented Librarian Series:
Associate Librarian salary range is $63,038 &#8211; $99,154 and Librarian salary range is $84,507 &#8211; $136,507.</description>
