The collections and services of the UMD Libraries’ Special Collection and University Archives (SCUA) are at the heart of the research and teaching mission of the universities. Collection strengths include the history of labor and unions, state of Maryland and historical collections, modern Japanese history, mass media and culture, rare books and literature, and the history of the University.
