History Associates Inc. (HAI) is actively recruiting qualified individuals with experience in archival processing, rehousing, and description.
The Archivist will be based in Denver, Colorado, as the onsite staff on this project. They will work alongside a remote project manager and with the client staff onsite.
The Archivist will be responsible for conducting an initial survey of the collection and providing input on supply quantities and needs. The collection must then be arranged, rehoused in archival quality supplies, and described and input into a collections management system. Collection includes newsprint, scrapbooks, objects, and audiovisual materials.
This position is full-time temporary, 40 hours per week, and is expected to last about 4-6 months. We anticipate the onsite work to start in February 2025. Temporary positions are not eligible for any benefits offered by History Associates

Job Responsibilities:
Perform archival survey, assessing processing, preservation, and supply needs.
Perform archival processing, rehousing, and description tasks for a variety of materials.
Participate in other project-related tasks and meetings with project manager and team.

Requirements:
MLIS, or a Master’s in a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience processing archival materials, or projects of a similar scope and nature.
Familiarity with collections management systems such as ArchiveSpace and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Experience with archival assessment, processing, preservation, and description.
Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft applications.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
