The Delaware State Historical Marker Coordinator will be responsible for researching and evaluating submissions for new historical markers, coordinating the repair and upkeep of existing markers, and facilitating communication between constituents, legislators, municipalities, vendors, and representatives from the media. The Historical Marker Coordinator will also give presentations on the Delaware Historical Marker Program and participate in the creation of social media content for the program.
Graduate or bachelor’s degree in History, Library Science, Political Science, or related field.
At least one year experience as a planner or in a planning function.
Experience in designing, collecting data, analyzing and presenting results of a complex planning project (complexity is to be determined based on variables such as discipline, population, fiscal impact, geographic area, social impact, planning horizon, public involvement, research and analysis, and the nature of the project team).
Experience as a project manager on a less complex project.
