HERITAGE WERKS: Seeking Professional Digital Archivists & Senior Digital Archivists
From processing and cataloging to research and reference, digital asset management and web-based portals to curating content for heritage programming, experiences and new revenue streams, Heritage Werks is a full-service archival company focused on doing great work for an incredible roster of clients, including major corporations, sports and entertainment properties, fashion and luxury brands, non-profit organizations and highly accomplished industry leaders, celebrities, athletes and artists.
Heritage Werks is looking for professional digital archivists to join our growing team dedicated to the preservation, access and use of archives and heritage. As there will be interaction with clients, ideal candidates must have the ability to advance client collections in an accelerated timeframe and be comfortable supporting archival recommendations in a consultative environment.
Digital archival duties will include oversight of daily addition of content across various client platforms, assigning metadata for assets and ensuring accurate usage rights, curation and organization of large amounts of assets and digital content transferred from clients, external sources and vendors, daily system checks, work with team of database managers and digital coordinators to reach department goals, monitor and report on user activity, and provide regular updates and reports to management team. Curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and attentively to meet demanding project deadlines within a team environment is necessary.
We are looking for digital archivists with a positive outlook, great client service skills and the desire to advance their careers by being part of a forward-thinking archival team pioneering smart, innovative and value-driven solutions.
Relevant qualifications and attributes:
MA in History (with archival experience), MLIS with Cataloging and/or Archives Specialization or MHP (Master of Heritage Preservation), or similar post-secondary degree.
1 year of experience in Digital Asset Management
Strong technical background including one or more of the following: digital asset management systems, database management, user experience/user interface design, rich media file formats (image, audio and video) and server-side functionality.
Excellent oral and written communicator with ability to work with a team of diverse personalities
Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Able to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines while remaining composed under pressure
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products, Excel, file conversions and transcoding
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and trends in the DAM industry
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and accuracy
Experienced with both Windows and Macintosh computer platforms
